The primary purpose of the position is to perform recurring building and/or utility maintenance and operation duties and to assist journeymen and other higher graded maintenance workers.

Duties

The Major Duties of the Maintenance Worker include, but are not limited to the following: Performs a variety of trade tasks often combining trade practices such as carpentry, wood crafting, roofing, masonry and painting. Performs carpentry work involving stabilization, preservation, or restoration of wooden historic structures. Performs simple and basic research of records pertaining to historic and/or prehistoric structures for the purpose of assessing their physical condition, style, preservation needs and conservation work required.
