Duties
You will locate and select items for issue or shipment by reference to locator cards, compares lot number identification on documents with data cards and box markings.
You will determine the method of pack to be used. Backs material by prepacking, cushioning, arranging items.
You will operate forklifts capable of lifting up to 10,000 lbs. capacity to load, unload, stack, re-warehouse, and move boxes, crates, pallets, etc.
You will perform warehousing and ammunitions handling tasks in connection with unloading, loading, staking, palletizing, etc., of ammunitions and explosive items.
You will check shipping and packing documents for proper information such as stock numbers, quantities, types, etc
Requirements
- Must be a US Citizen.
- Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
- Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.

- Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.

- Must able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Driver's license within one year of employment.
- This position is subject to the Lautenberg amendment to the Gun Control Act of 1968, which makes it a felony for anyone who has been convicted of misdemeanor crime of domestic violence to ship, transport, possess, or receive firearms or ammunition.
- You will be required to successfully complete a pre-appointment physical examination.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing
- You will be required to obtain and maintain a current FORKLIFT certification.
- This position you must meet the requirements of the training and certification program for personnel involved in conventional and/or toxic ammunition operations.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Driver's license within one year of employment.
Qualifications
Although a specific length of time and experience is not required for most trade and labor occupations, you must show through experience and training that you possess the quality level of knowledge and skill necessary to perform the duties of the position at the level for which you are applying. Qualification requirements emphasis is on quality of experience, not necessarily the length of time.
