Duties
As a Supervisory Security Specialist, GS-0080-15, your typical work assignments may include the following:
Serve as the Director of the Office of Security.
Oversight of the planning, development, implementation and management of the security program at the Office of the United States Trade Representative (USTR) in Washington, D.C. and Geneva, Switzerland.
Interpret and develop general policy direction of the USTR security program.
Conduct oversight reviews on the effectiveness of programs and practices and assesses security vulnerabilities.
Monitor and evaluate policies, instructions, procedures, and control systems.
Assist the Continuity Program Officer in managing and implementing USTR's Continuity of Operations (COOP) plan and training.

Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: All applicants must meet the qualification requirements outlined below to be considered minimally qualified for this position. The qualification requirements are in accordance with the OPM Qualification Standards.
ALL QUALIFICATIONS MUST BE MET BY THE CLOSING DATE OF THIS ANNOUNCEMENT.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicants must have a minimum of one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility comparable to the next lower grade or comparable pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private sector.
You may qualify at the GS-15 level, if you fulfill the following qualification requirement:One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-14 grade level in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private sector that demonstrates Specialized experience must demonstrate applying a superior level of knowledge and subject matter expert level experience; 1.) directing, developing, and managing an agency-wide security program. 2) Expert level experience of Physical Security, Personnel Security, Continuity of Operations (COOP), Emergency Preparedness and Information Security experience are required.

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
