You will serve as a FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT ANALYST in the Theater Undersea Surveillance Command Pacific (TUSC PAC), formerly Naval Ocean Processing Facility, Whidbey Island.

Duties

You will perform a full range of review and analysis functions in the formation, presentation and execution of the Operating Budget. You will analyze trends, develop solutions, present findings and make independent decisions on the apportionment of funds. You will independently develop budget procedures, techniques and methods to effectively plan, report, display and evaluate command budget. You will review and analysis financial operating and performance reports. You will review and approve TUSC PAC funding and travel documents/vouchers. You will provide financial advisory services to TUSC PAC staff.

  • Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.
  • Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered for Selective Service.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • This is a Financial Management Level II certified position per the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) 2012, Section 1599d. You must achieve this level within prescribed timelines. Certification requirements are in DoD Instruction 1300.26.
  • This is a Mission Essential position. You will be required to ensure organization or facility continuity of operations and/or completion of tasks that are considered essential to the mission designated by a local or command decision.

Qualifications

FOR THE GS-12: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Analyzing and developing budget procedures, preparations, formations and allocation controls for financial management programs to provide guidance and recommendations to resolve problems.
