About the Position: This is a military technician position with the 81ST Regional Support Command (RSC), Reserve Personnel Action Center (RPAC), Charleston Satellite GA115, located at Fort Eisenhower, Georgia.

Duties
Prepares or insures the preparation of military personnel actions.
Advises supported units and personnel on military personnel and pay questions.
Provides guidance on administrative aspects of military personnel management programs.
Provides technical advice and guidance regarding the establishment and maintenance of pay accounts.
Processes, audits and edits of the complex pay action.
Reviews master military pay account transactions and reports.
Researches complex pay complaints.
Ensures compliance with internal controls to minimize pay problems and inquiries.
Reviews incoming regulations and directives relating to administration, military personnel and finance programs.
Assists in the development and dissemination of SOPs, directives, informational memoranda and instructions.
Renders interpretations of directives.
Compiles and analyzes data to identify trends, deficiencies and accomplishments.
Prepares reports and/or briefings to inform management of analysis results.
Develops recommendations for improved operations or action processing.
Distributes and balances the workload among employees.
Assures timely accomplishment of the assigned workload.
Instructs employees in specific tasks and job techniques.
Refers to supervisor questions or matters not covered by standards.
Resolves simple, informal complaints.
Reports to supervisor on performance, progress and training needs of employees.

In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes preparing military personnel actions; researching pay complaints; analyzing pay issues; reviewing incoming regulations; ensuring compliance with rules and regulations; and advising on pay and personnel processes. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-07).
OR
Education: Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as: Business Administration or Human Resources.
OR
Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the first year (total graduate semester hours minus 18) by 18. Add the two percentages.
