Duties
You will negotiate for operational authority among Federal agencies and with foreign governments for domestic and international operations.
You will advise customers on new telecommunication backbone infrastructure, devices or systems highlighting the benefits and limitations.
You will monitor and schedule frequencies to ensure operations are within authorized limits.
You will identify the causes of problems, and choose courses of action that balance the interest of the mission and stakeholders.
You will make timely/effective recommendations, based on potential implications of findings or conclusions.
You will manage the current operations posture of a communications section to confirm present and future needs are met in order to deliver high-quality services.
Requirements

- This is a Cyber IT/Cybersecurity Workforce position in specialty area code 47 and as a condition of employment incumbents of the position are required to comply with the DON Cyber IT/CSWF Program requirements of SECNAV M-5239.2.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Utilizing information systems and/or software applications (i.e. word processing, spreadsheets, automated research tools, database applications, and the internet) in order to meet telecommunication mission objectives; 2) Identifying and analyzing problems by weighing relevance and accuracy of information in order to generate alternative solutions to telecommunication programs; 3) Supporting the employment of measures and controls to deny unauthorized persons electronic, logical, and physical access to information derived from electronic communications and ensures authenticity of such communications; 4) Managing/monitoring telecommunication systems in relation to transmissions, broadcasting, switching, control, and operations; 5) Providing guidance on telecommunication theory, physical infrastructure and equipment supporting emergency management/disaster communications, Land Mobile communications, field deployable kits, cell phone/data services delivery, satellite, microwave communications technology, Base Area Network backbone pathway infrastructure and spectrum management; and 6) Applying terrestrial backbone infrastructure, radio frequency for compatible use with other users of radio frequency spectrum (e.g., fixed station and mobile radio {including sea and airborne}, radar, navigational aids, satellite links, other systems operated by military, government, or civil agencies, and by private citizens).
