You will serve as a FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT ANALYST in the FORCE COMPTROLLER OFFICE of COMNAVSURFPAC.

Duties

You will develop budget for surface fleet port costs requirements for fiscal year. You will reconcile funding documents against STARS FL. You will obligate funding for fleet port cost operations. You will reconcile status of funds against contracts and tasks orders issued by NAVSUP. You will ensure proper documentation are kept and recorded for FIAR compliance.

Requirements

• You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
• This is a Financial Management Level I certified position per the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) 2012, Section 1599d. You must achieve this level within prescribed timelines. Certification requirements are in DoD Instruction 1300.26.
• This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: managing a budget for an organization utilizing automated systems, overseeing cost estimates to support organization programs, plans and activities; AND experience in accounting and financial management to include overseeing fiscal operations. Successful completion of a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree
OR
Successful completion of three full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a Ph.D. or equivalent degree
OR

A combination of experience and education as described above that equates to one year of experience.
