This position is located at US Mint,Headquarters-Off of the Dir/Chief Admin Officer/IT Dept/INFRASTRUC OPS DIV/Infrastructure Br. As a Information Technology Specialist (Network Services), you will be responsible for leading the most complex problems including restoring service through diagnosis and resolving a wide range of IT operating problems, including complex failures in critical IT systems.
Duties
As a Information Technology Specialist (Network Services), you will:
Support the work of the branch; provides short-term and long-range plan input for enterprise and Mint site IT infrastructure and end user IT equipment
Assist and support studies relating to enterprise IT usage, efficiency and needs and the implementation and installation of new Mint site and enterprise IT hardware and software
Develop and implement policy, procedures, and standards for the program
Assist in supporting functional, technical and developmental support of hardware, and network support for ERP applications, order management system, call center ecommerce web, legacy, manufacturing specific and other IT systems
Responsible for assisting in day-to-day IT operations, provides restoration of IT services, IT incidents through their lifecycle, and provides thorough and effective communication to users and management
Qualifications
You must meet the following requirements within 14 days of the closing date of this announcement.
Specialized Experience:
For the GS-13, you must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-12grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position includes:
-Experience providing state-of-the-art infrastructure and operations management; AND
-Troubleshooting failures in critical system and operational support services that complement a business' processes only referring major issues to senior specialist; AND
-Independently designing, building, implementing, maintaining, or troubleshooting enterprise networking infrastructures that improve service delivery to the business (Examples include being a Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), a Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP), a Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE), or a Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA); AND
-Quality repeatable work products.
In addition to the specialized experience you must meet the following IT competencies:

3. Oral Communication - Expresses information (for example, ideas or facts) to individuals or groups effectively, taking into account the audience and nature of the information (for example, technical, sensitive, controversial); makes clear and convincing oral presentations; listens to others, attends to nonverbal cues, and responds appropriately.
4. Problem Solving - Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations.
In addition to the above requirements, you must meet the following time-in-grade requirement, if applicable:
For the GS-13 you must have been at the GS-12level for 52 weeks.
