About the Position: This is an Training Systems Management Specialist position located at the Army Training Support Center, Fort Eustis, VA.
Duties
Coordinates with project team, provides day-to-day coordination of project activities; creates, formulates, analyzes, evaluates, depicts, and critiques existing or proposed instrumentation requirements.
Coordinates and participates in all activities of project teams consisting of both military and civilians.
Serves as project lead and/or matrixed project team support for one or more major home station, maneuver Combat Training Centers (CTC), or Army/joint/service digital range instrumentation.
Exercises independent judgment within parameters of the Army training program guidelines, finding solutions to unexpected problems which have a wide-scale effect on the team projects and the Army's Live Training (LT).
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain Secret security clearance.
- This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of up to 30% of the time.
- Required to submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450 upon entering and annually.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience.
Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes 1) preparing papers, reports, schedules, and briefings to all levels of management within the agency; 2) ensuring testing and training adequately addresses live training systems requirements; 3) developing testing and training for units and installations on new training systems; AND/OR 4) managing resources for area such as planning, programing and budgeting for project requirement. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11).
