- Telework may be authorized.

- Employee must be able to obtain and maintain a Top-Secret security clearance and will be required to handle and safeguard sensitive and/or classified information in accordance with regulations to reduce potential compromise.
- Locations are not negotiable. The actual duty locations available may be located on the Air Force Civilian Service website.
- This is a drug testing designated position. The incumbent is subject to pre-employment drug testing as a condition of employment, and
participation in random drug testing.

- Employee must meet Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA) requirements, which includes achieving Engineering and Technical Management “Practitioner” certification category within required timeframe after appointment.
- In accordance with the Ethics in Government Act, 1978, employee may be required to file an OGE Form 450, Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, upon appointment and will be required to file annually.
- Work may occasionally require travel away from the normal duty station on military or commercial aircraft.
- A professional engineering degree at the bachelor’s level from an ABET accredited institution in mechanical engineering or a closely related field is required.
- May requiring driving a motorized vehicle around the missile complex.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:
Knowledge of professional engineering principals, test and evaluation, logistics program principles, support initiatives, acquisition policy and procedures, planning, programming and budgeting systems, contracting procedures and Air Force resource allocation procedures is highly desired.
Strong background in systems engineering, integration, and test of complex communications systems and large-scale systems with a diverse set of stakeholders across organizational boundaries is highly desired.
Ability to analyze, plan and adjust work operations of one or more organizational segments to meet program objectives and requirements within available resources is valued.
Experience in electrical/electronics engineering, mechanical/materials engineering, software engineering, configuration management, and/or systems engineering is preferred.
Ability to evaluate insertion of new technology for design efficiency, cost reasonableness, and developmental risks is valued.
Ability to organize work, set priorities; determine goals and strategies to achieve them; coordinate with other organizations; monitor progress and evaluate outcomes is preferred.
Ability to develop and maintain effective relationships and to communicate effectively with technical accuracy, both orally and in writing is a plus.
