RANGE OF DUTIES MAY INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
Support developmental and operational test and evaluation of the MMIII weapon system in the Air Force Materiel Command's (AFMC), AFNWC MMIII Systems Directorate at Hill Air Force Base, Utah.
Provide support for MMIII Integrated Product Team (IPT) subsystems and support equipment; Ground Electrical, Ground Mechanical, Propulsion, Guidance, Re-Entry Vehicle/System, Missile Alert Facility and Launch facility.
Develop, review, coordinate, and approve test documents and supporting test documents (e.g., Test Evaluation Master Plans, Test and Evaluation Strategy, Test Plan/Procedures/Reports, Statement of Work, Contract Data Requirements Lists, etc.) for technical sufficiency and efficacy with respect to current DODIs, AFIs, Military Standard and local guidance.
Prepare briefings, forms, reports and coordinate test meetings with Program Managers and Engineers.
Coordinate with Air Force Materiel Command, Air Force Global Strike Command and Air Force Test Center test personnel to review or approve test documents and test planning and execution.
Participate as a test and evaluation expert in IPT Working Group meetings and SPO Staff taskers and meetings.
Assign and approve technical tasks for response from support contractors.
SKILLS:
Background or experience in test and evaluation is highly desired and is a huge plus.
Ability to problem solve through innovative approaches is preferred.
Background in mechanical and/or electrical engineering is highly desired.
Experience in evaluating program Performance Work Statements or Statements of Work for studies or reports related to nuclear certification requirements is valued.
Resourcefulness, ability to work in a team, and initiative are valued.
Acquisition and sustainment of DoD aircraft, Intercontinental Ballistic Missile, or other strategic weapon system experience is valued.
Experience using analytical engineering tools, writing technical products, and presenting technical results and strategy is valued.

- Telework may be authorized.

- Employee must be able to obtain and maintain a Top-Secret security clearance and will be required to handle and safeguard sensitive and/or classified information in accordance with regulations to reduce potential compromise.
- Locations are not negotiable. The actual duty locations available may be located on the Air Force Civilian Service website.
- This is an Air Force Drug Testing Designated Position. The incumbent will be subject to random drug testing.

- Employee must meet Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA) requirements, which includes achieving Test and Evaluation “Practitioner” certification category within required timeframe after appointment.
- In accordance with the Ethics in Government Act, 1978, employee may be required to file an OGE Form 450, Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, upon appointment and will be required to file annually.
- Work may occasionally require travel away from the normal duty station on military or commercial aircraft.
- May requiring driving a motorized vehicle around the missile complex.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:
1. Knowledge of a wide range of multidisciplinary professional engineering concepts, principles, practices, standards, methods, techniques, materials, and equipment to effectively apply advanced engineering theories, principles, and concepts to project development, execution, and advisory services.
2. Knowledge of development engineering methodologies sufficient to apply experimental theories and/or new applications to issues and provide technical advice and direction in support of weapon systems, subsystems, and/or support equipment.
3. Knowledge of systems engineering practices and procedures as they pertain to sustainment, modification, logistics, and production management principles, concepts, policies, and systems.
4. Knowledge of the principles of planning and program management; of standard acquisition regulations, practices, and procedures; and of other engineering disciplines used in support of sustainment, modification, and maintenance programs.
5. Ability to devise and evaluate criteria, parameters, characteristics, and interrelationships for design approaches; to assess the impact of new technology on current systems and processes; and to gather, assemble, and analyze facts, form conclusions, and devise and recommend solutions to problems.
