Duties

This position is located under the Office of Enforcement Programs and Services, Firearms and Explosives Services Division, Federal Explosives Licensing Center in Martinsburg, West Virginia.

Qualifications

To qualify for GS-11, candidates must also have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level GS-09. Specialized experience is demonstrated experience, which has equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities to perform successfully the duties of this position. Experience must be in the normal line of progression or must be related to the work of the position advertised and must be reflected in resume. Specialized experience include: Understanding of laws, legal codes, court procedures, precedents, legal practice and documents, Government regulations, Executive orders, agency rules, Government organization and functions; AND Providing technical advice on the importation of firearms and ammunition, explosives and firearms licensing programs, or the manufacture, transfer and exportation of National Firearms Act (NFA) weapons. OR Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.M., if related OR A combination of graduate education and experience.
