You will serve as a TECHNICAL PROJECT MANAGER (ADMINISTRATIVE/TECHNICAL) in the Atlantic NCTE Operations Branch (ORG RS20T1), in the Live Virtual Constructive Training Division of the Range Systems Engineering Department of NAVAL SURFACE WARFARE CTR CORONA DIV, San Diego, California, detachment..

Duties

You will serve as the Fleet Strike Group/Expeditionary Readiness Group Large Force Exercise (LFE) Live, Virtual, and Constructive (LVC) training Operations Director, You will interface with customers (e.g. C3F, CSG-15, NSMWDC, TTGP, etc) to ensure Fleet Response Training Plan (FRTP) events are planned and executed to maximize Navy Continuous Training Environment (NCTE) capabilities to support training objectives, You will represent NCTE training support equities for the full spectrum of warfare as a part of the Fleet training event planning team, You will Interface with CPF/USFF and other senior commands to ensure NCTE systems are optimized to support exercise operations in a LVC environment. You will provide leadership in developing long term strategic plans to provide appropriate technology and NCTE support required to meet and sustain Fleet warfare training objectives, You will manage and monitor training capabilities during events to identify shortfalls in military exercise capabilities and develop plans or strategies for a training program, You will interact with customers to coordinate rapid change of event support requirements (due to weather, participant performance, material condition issues) to ensure achievement of training goals and optimization of underway training time, You will coordinate exercise support requirements and tasking with the operations and maintenance contractor, You will monitor events as they occur to ensure successful delivery of training support to the customer, You will provide input to the quality assurance surveillance plan, and ensure all required post mission data for training events is prepared for debrief and dissemination to all units and event leads, You will work within the RS20 operational community to provide guidance and leadership, individual NCTE site coordination, and government oversight of the contractor during training operations, participating in post exercise lessons learned.

  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the next lower pay band, NT-04 pay band (GS-11/12 equivalent) or grade level in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector, analyzing tactical training systems or programs (e.g., Fleet Strike Group/Expeditionary Readiness Group Large Force Exercise (LFE) Live, Virtual, and Constructive (LVC) training, Navy Continuous Training Environment; Composite Training Unit Exercises (COMPTUEX), Sustainment Exercises, Surface Warfare Advanced Tactical Training (SWATT), Fleet Synthetic Training (FST)) to support strategic goals and sustainment of afloat Fleet warfare training objectives.
