About the Position: Serves as Realty Specialist with responsibility for providing real estate management advice and resolving especially difficult realty transactions for Military and Civil Programs for specified program areas of the district.

Duties
Assists Section Chief in planning, implementing and coordinating the District's Leasing Program.
Responsibility includes budgeting, funding and programming assignments to provide leasing and acquisition services in support of CoE projects, DoD Armed Forces Recruiting Program, the National Guard and the Coast Guard.
Provides acquisition and leasing services to other Federal agencies including any DOD agency requiring additional lands or property rights throughout the two districts.
Provides oversight of work of employees of lower grade within the Section, and provides input to Section Chief on employee performance.
Assigns, reviews, and evaluates work for accuracy. Assists Section Chief in identifying training requirements and needs of employees.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Requires possession of or the ability to acquire a valid state driver's license and maintain through duration of employment with the agency.
- Incumbent must have already completed or is able to complete the training necessary to obtain a Real Estate contracting Officer (RECO) Level I warrant within 12 months of initial employment.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes working with and determining real estate requirements for realty projects including: surveyors regarding legal descriptions, title companies and county recorders regarding title of real property. Acquiring real property surveys and title information. Experience working with escrow companies on removing exceptions to titles. Experience acquiring and disposing of real property on behalf of a government entity. Experience in preparing documents for use of government owned property. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).
