You will serve as an IT SPECIALIST (SYSADMIN/CUSTSPT) in the Command Operations Department, Information System Division, Network Management Branch of FLTREADCEN EAST.

Duties

You will serve as lead to coordinate activities related to Information Systems projects. You will coordinate project requirements and Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul inputs with Command business goals and objectives. You will perform management and feasibility studies in order to recommend project modifications to meet diversified and cross-FRC user requirements. You will interact and coordinate with government contractors in development/maintenance of systems, including making, accepting and approving work assignments for project responsibilities through contract vehicles.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes.
  • Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
  • This position is designated as a Cyber IT/Cybersecurity Workforce position. You must obtain and maintain the credentials as described in SECNAV M-5239.2 for specialty area 451 level ADVANCED within 12 months of appointment.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Maintaining life cycle management documentation in accordance with DON, NAVAIR, Command, and local standards; 2) Implementing current and future Configuration Management (CM) plans; 3) Providing training/instruction; 4) Maintaining portfolio for assigned projects, including milestones, risk assessments, interfaces, and funding requirements. Your experience must reflect skill in the following areas: attention to detail, customer service, oral communication, and problem solving.
