Duties
Examines current DoDEA practices, programs, and policies to identify opportunities to re-imagine how DoDEA provides services to students and families and to better position DoDEA as a leader in PK-12 education.
Designs, implements, monitors, and sustains a DoDEA-wide program to identify, capture, vet, and disseminate research-based practices to improve the effectiveness of the organization and support achievement of DoDEA’s mission.
Researches, develops, implements, monitors, and sustains programs, policies, and practices to prepare students and staff for a changing world.
Performs analysis to manipulate quantitative and qualitative data. Produces a wide range of documents that often require complex formats, such as graphic presentations, spreadsheets or
databases as well as word processing.
Plans work to be accomplished by subordinates, sets and adjusts short-term priorities, and prepares schedules for completion of work.
Requirements
- Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Requirement.

- One year trial or probationary period may be required.
- Appointment subject to a suitability/fitness determination, as determined by a background investigation.
- One year supervisory probation period may be required.

- Duties of this position require the incumbent to obtain and maintain a SECRET Clearance.

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application.
Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: Collaboration with senior organizational leaders to influence policy, planning, and programming; Experience in leadership with PK-12 education policy at the state level; Experience with application of research and data use methodologies; Manage multiple complex tasks involving short suspense and multiple stakeholders, including organizational leaders; Identifies, researches, and stays abreast of innovations and emerging trends in PK-12 education and school system operations.
This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-13).
