As a Program Analyst, you will: Conduct analyses of regulatory and statutory proposals, initiatives, and multifamily housing program proposals submitted for review by outside parties, including use of analytical models to estimate program impacts, and evaluation of projects and initiatives based on sophisticated analytical processes. Recommend and develop research programs and strategies to assess program effectiveness; prepare policy proposals that are based on the results of those evaluations. Review and analyze legislative proposals based on the Department's overall goals and program needs to ensure that there is no negative impact of such legislation on existing multifamily housing policies or legislation. Develop legislative proposals and coordinate their development by program offices.

Qualifications

You must meet the following requirements by the closing date of this announcement. For the GS-13, you must have one (1) year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position includes: - Developing solutions to problems and issues related to Multifamily housing programs; AND - Coordinating and supporting a variety of Multifamily housing asset management functions; AND - Consulting with, and providing technical assistance to program officials, citizens groups, and government officials on a variety of Multifamily housing related technical matters Experience may have been gained in either the public, private sector or volunteer service. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis.
