The U.S. Army Combat Capabilities Development Command (DEVCOM) Armaments Center (AC) serves as the Army's technology leader for armament systems. DEVCOM AC ensures dominance of Army capabilities by researching, developing, integrating and delivering technology-enabled armament solutions to our Warfighters. Armaments Center has a long tradition as the primary research and development center for new and existing armament systems which are in use by U.S. service members around the world.
Duties
Provide project updates and elevates potential issues, problems, concerns to Project Integrator.
Serve as a process expert in Project Management across the acquisition life cycle.
Guide Armament Project Officers on use and tailoring of relevant Armament Center processes and templates, resolving critical problems to execute projects effectively.
Take primary responsibility to lead, develop, modify and implement a Project Management and Integration Directorate process, procedure or special task that horizontally supports the DEVCOM AC Enterprise Mission
Conduct assigned Project Integrator project portfolio reviews of funds, management of project fiscal information and Project Plan documents; assess effects of project and funds management strategies on larger project portfolio.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- You must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
- Three year probationary period may be required.
- This position requires pre-employment financial disclosure and annually thereafter in accordance with DoD Directive 5500-7-R.
- Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act Career Field Position.
- This is an Army Acquisition, Logistics and Technology Workforce position. Selectee must meet position requirements for Program Management Certification within36 months of entrance on duty.

To qualify at the DB-03 (GS-12/13), you must meet the specialized experience below:
Specialized experience is defined as 1) Leading the planning and executing of projects to develop or produce complex systems or new technologies; 2) using knowledge and experience to assess project performance and communicate with senior leaders OR 3) providing direction, control and coordination to project officers leading individual projects. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (DE-02/GS-11).
