The incumbent provides guidance, instruction, maintenance and trouble shooting in the daily operations in Radiology and Nuclear Medicine Service of the Picture Archive and Communication system (PACS) and Vista Imaging interface and Voice Recognition
(VR) system. The incumbent serves as a computer specialist providing support in the operation and management of digital image acquisition, processing, display, and storage. The position will be located at the Lake Nona Medical Center.
Duties
This position is assigned to the Chief, Radiology Service and closely coordinates work with the Imaging Program Administrator, Chief Technologist, Administrative Officer, Information Technology Service, and Biomedical Engineering personnel. Individual will implement, provide guidance, instruction, maintenance, and troubleshooting in the daily operations of the Picture Archive and Communication System (PACS), Vista Imaging interface, Vista Radiology Package, Voice Recognition (VR), and Mammography Reporting System (MRS) Systems, Radiation dose tracking software, and other Artificial Intelligence software program used throw-out the service. Individual will be responsible to manage the Vista Radiology Information System (RIS) referred to as Radiology VISTA Package. This collateral duty is referred to as the Radiology Service ADPAC (Automated Data Package Application Coordinator).
Duties include, but are not limited to:
Serves as a computer/systems specialist that provides support in the operation and management of digital image acquisition, processing, display, and storage. As the PACS Manager, you will be responsible for purchasing and updating PACS related equipment and accessories.
ADPAC duties include, but not limited, assigning menus to Radiology staff, running reports from the RIS, creating ordering menus for providers, updating CPT codes, adding/deleting new orders, etc. You will coordinate work with other services and will have frequent contact with clinical providers, with the need to reconcile RIS/PACS related issues with regard to the electronic medical record (CPRS).
Performs other related duties and assignments as assigned.
He/she will be responsible for managing the above duties at the Outpatient Clinics/Community Based Outpatient Clinics (OPCs/CBOCs) within the Orlando healthcare System.
Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00 am to 4:30 pm. Candidate must be willing to work weekends, irregular work hours, as well as participate in the on-call program in support of all Radiology Systems. The candidate must be willing to be placed, detailed, or temporarily assigned to other related services and/or locations, if necessary.

Qualifications
To qualify for this position, applicants must meet all requirements by the closing date of this announcement, 12/19/2023.
Time-In-Grade Requirement: Applicants who are current Federal employees and have held a GS grade any time in the past 52 weeks must also meet time-in-grade requirements by the closing date of this announcement. For a GS-12 position you must have served 52 weeks at the GS-11. The grade may have been in any occupation, but must have been held in the Federal service. An SF-50 that shows your time-in-grade eligibility must be submitted with your application materials. If the most recent SF-50 has an effective date within the past year, it may not clearly demonstrate you possess one-year time-in-grade, as required by the announcement. In this instance, you must provide an additional SF-50 that clearly demonstrates one-year time-in-grade. Specialized Experience: You must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade GS-11 in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization. Physical Requirements: The work will involve periods of walking, bending, stooping, lifting and carrying. The incumbent is required to install equipment which will entail some physical labor to accomplish the task.
