This position is located in the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), United States Coast Guard (USCG), Office of the Vice Commandant (CG-09), Assistant Commandant for Resources/Deputy CFO (CG-8D), USCG National Pollution Funds Center (NPFC), Resources Management Division(CR), in Washington, DC.
Duties
This position serves as the Chief Administrative Officer and Chief Information Officer for the NPFC providing human capital strategy, administrative oversight, and technical expertise required to support unit functionality as well as mission planning, development, implementation, & evaluation.

Qualifications
To qualify at the GS-15 grade level, applicants must have at least one (1) full year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-14 grade level in the federal sector. Specialized experience at the GS-15 level includes the following:
Leading teams of diverse people to accomplish mission goals;
Providing training to team members on program objectives and systems utilized in the organization, monitoring risk of designated programs, researching regulations and laws;
Making recommendations to solve problems, collecting and assessing customer service feedback;
Using negotiation skills to assist with business process improvements;
Serving as a technical expert, analyst, or advisor on all matters relating on work associated with account structures, financial systems, and/or internal controls.
National Service Experience (i.e., volunteer experience): Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.The Office of Personnel management (OPM) must authorize employment offers made to current or former political appointees.
