This position is located in the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), United States Coast Guard (USCG), Assistant Commandant for CG-6, Office of Information Management (CG-61), Directives and Publications Division (CG-612), located in Washington, DC.
Duties
You will serve as a Management and Program Analyst (CYBER) responsible for planning, development, and coordination of a broad range of writing projects utilizing information across multiple organizational functions that promote public understanding and acceptance of Agency programs, policies, and decisions with a result to reduce agency risk by improving the renewal rate of publications enterprise wide.

Qualifications
GS-13 level: Applicants must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 level in the federal service. Specialized experience includes experience performing duties such as independently writing, reviewing, editing, and coordinating the printing and distribution of Directives and other publications, such as general messages and newsletters, technical and informational briefs, guides, or manuals, for a target population; monitoring, updating, and troubleshooting assigned portions of an established web page, including building new pages and creating links.
National Service Experience (i.e., volunteer experience): Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
The Office of Personnel management (OPM) must authorize employment offers made to current or former political appointees.
