You will serve as a FINANCIAL TECHNICIAN in the AVIATION SUPPLY DEPARTMENT of HELICOPTER MARITIME STRIKE WING PAC.

Duties

You will perform specialized work involving administrative duties in connection with automated financial systems. You will compile financial data for statistical reports. You will develop local Standard Operating Procedures (SOP). You will examine documents for accuracy, adequacy of documentation, and compliance with regulations. You will perform work to establish, maintain, correct and close pay accounts. You will prepare, reconciles and verify monthly bank billing statements. Ensure signed receipts/invoices are filed in accordance with federal regulations. You will liaise with vendors on government delivery requirements including purchase estimates, shipping charges and delivery dates. You will maintain ledgers, form budgets, check and arrange funding data.

• This is a Financial Management Level I certified position per the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) 2012, Section 1599d. You must achieve this level within prescribed timelines. Certification requirements are in DoD Instruction 1300.26.
• You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.

Qualifications

For the GS-07: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the (GS-06) grade level in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: providing accounting support to include account maintenance, preparing and analyzing financial reports, and ensuring budget estimates are within established guidelines. In lieu of general/specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:

One academic year of graduate education, where the graduate education is DIRECTLY related to the work of the position.

or

A combination of graduate education and experience that equates to one year of experience, where the graduate education is directly related to the work of the position.
