You will serve as a Digital Technology Coordinator in the Production Resources Department (C/900), Lifting & Handling Department (C/700), Engineering Planning Department (C/200 & 2300), the Radiological Controls Department (C/105), or any other department or code of PSNS and IMF.

Duties

You will use quantitative and qualitative techniques to evaluate and improve the Digital Technology and Information Technology (IT) processes. You will provide technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills to accomplish the duties and responsibilities associated with the position. You will independently respond to inquiries from all levels of management within the assigned area of responsibility concerning Digital Technology and IT support and the administration of management policies, employees, and programs. You will serve as a liaison to advocate for improvements and resolutions to technical software support issues. You will work to facilitate coordination and provide support to end users within the area of responsibility. You will provide reference, research and investigative requirements, initiate and complete solutions, and communicate the solutions to the end users and personnel at all levels of the area of responsibility.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • This position is subject to work an uncommon tour, including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet mission requirements. Overtime or night differential pay and/or unusual duty hours may be required.
  • This is a bargaining unit position.

Qualifications

GS-11 Grade Level: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector resolving problems of effectiveness or efficiency of work operations by gathering information, analyzing issues, and developing recommendations for the optimization of a digital technology or information technology program. GS-09 Grade Level: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector conducting evaluations of work in progress to apply accepted analytical techniques (such as task analysis, work-flow charts, workload measurement, or trend analysis) for the resolution of procedural problems impacting the efficiency or productivity of workers or an organization. Education

In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify for the GS-11 Grade Level with the following education or combination of both education and experience:

Successful completion of a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree
OR
Successful completion of three full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a Ph.D. or equivalent degree
OR

A combination of experience and graduate education as described above that equates to one year of experience.
