Duties
As a Public Health Advisor, you will:
Serve as a senior advisor to Division leadership in developing essential partnerships that are consistent with the Division's mission and contribute to achieving CDC goals.
Identify potential program partnership options, initiate discussions with such partners or collaborators on program development and oversee the development of initiatives and agreements.
Participate with senior staff to develop strategies for Division partnerships and program development.
Make recommendations to improve programs or address problems and formulate alternative courses of action for solving complex program-development or partnership issues.
Serve as senior advisor and coordinator of global immunization partnership arena.
Identify and analyze issues and the impact on public health policies and partnerships.
Consult on, monitor, and measure the outcome of programs by evaluating the effectiveness of project activities in meeting the needs of the community and other partners.
Serve as the main liaison to coordinate partnership activities with participating public health organizations and community stakeholders.
Research and evaluate key public health policies that are relevant to the organization's mission.
Review and assess the effectiveness of current public health policies and determine where new or changed policies are required to effectively execute public health programs, missions, and functions.

Minimum Qualifications:
To qualify at the GS-15 grade level, you must have at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-14 grade level, which must include the following experience: identifying and analyzing issues and providing management, programmatic and operational leadership and guidance for global and domestic public health programs.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
