About the Position: Serve as a Senior Civilian Advisor (DASA-MP) for the Office of the Secretary of the Army (Manpower & Reserve Affairs), located at the Pentagon in Arlington, VA.

Duties

Conduct senior level pre-coordination and interaction with Secretarial level, Army Staff, and Department of Defense senior leaders and staff in advance of meetings, briefings, and presentations to resolve complex issues. Apply a wide range of qualitative and/or quantitative methods to identify, analyze and improve team effectiveness, efficiency and work products. Oversee Military Personnel Policy, Medical and Health Affairs, and Accessions, Recruiting, and Retention Undertake special studies, direct projects, and carry out assigned missions of the very highest priority. Select the optimum solution based on consideration of a wide variety of critical requirements and variables (technical, systematic and programmatic)

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-14 grade level in the Federal service which includes managing various programs such as: military personnel, medical and health affairs, recruiting, retention and accessions; collaborating with internal stakeholders to include DoD counterparts to solve complex problems; preparing and presenting a variety of quantitative/qualitative based solutions for leaders to make executive level decisions. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade level in the federal service (GS-14 or equivalent). You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Human Capital ManagementPlanning and EvaluatingProject Management Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-14).
