You will serve as a PROGRAM MANAGER in the SURFACE SHIP READINESS PROGRAM; SURFACE WARFARE DIRECTORATE of NAVSEA HQ FIELD SUPPORT.

Duties

You will lead the Bridge Systems Integration program within SEA21 and implement the program mission and vision. You will be responsible for the implementation and sustainment of unified configuration management, functional commonality and human factors design for non-nuclear surface ship bridges. You will serve as the expert and consultant to reliably and accurately identify, develop, and implement solutions in the domain of integrating and managing systems and configuration of non-nuclear surface ship bridges. You will coordinate between bridge design and configuration management organizations (ship construction programs), bridge system PARMs (various), and standards managers (SEA05). You will establish and maintain assessment and validation feedback mechanisms for bridge configuration and system upgrades with surface ship bridge watch standers, mediated through the Surface Ship Type Commander (SURFOR). You will provide authoritative programmatic, organizational, technical, and budgetary advice to senior leadership for deliberately planned program actions as well as responses to unplanned events within the programs scope.

• This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes.
• Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NH-03 pay band (or GS-13 equivalent) in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector managing surface ship projects (e.g., ship bridge design, bridge configuration, system integration) to ensure programmatic requirements are met.
