About the Position: This position is a DOD Cyber Excepted Service (CES) personnel system position in the Excepted Service under 10 USC 1599f. Employees occupying CES positions are in the Excepted Service and must adhere to U.S. Code, Title 10, as well as Department of Defense Instruction 1400.25. This position is located at the Fort Eisenhower, Georgia.
Duties
Initiates and prepares reports, as necessary that provide required cumulative information.
Conducts staff studies covering all aspects of logistical operations to isolate and analyze functions that indicate a high potential for improvement through automation or changes in business practice.
Performs the analysis necessary to respond to inquiries accurately and authoritatively.
Review equipment summary portion of Programs of Instruction (POI) and training related documents for accuracy and provide recommendations to Training Developers and G4 management.
Produces annual Vehicle Allocation Methodology (VAM) attainment plan to include Baseline/Optimal Fleet and 4-year transition plan.
Makes recommendations to all levels of leadership to include Commanders for the efficient and effective use of assigned or projected NTVs authorizations.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Three year trial/probationary period may be required.
- Temporary duty (TDY) business travel is required approximately 5 percent of the time.
- Must be able to obtain and retain a Secret security clearance.
- This is a Cyber Term position scheduled to last 2 years. A Cyber Term Appointment may be extended to a maximum of five years depending upon the needs of management.
- Appointment to this position is subject to a three year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in DoDI 1400.25 V3005,
- Cyber Excepted Service, Employment and Placement. While serving a probationary period the incumbent can be terminated with limited appeal rights.

To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe One Year Of specialized experience that demonstrates the possession of knowledge, skills, abilities, and competencies necessary for immediate success in the position. Such experience is typically in or directly related to the work of the position to be filled. Specialized experience would be demonstrated by 1. Maintains fleet management for General Services Administration (GSA) and Agency Owned Non-Tactical Vehicles (NTVs). 2. Directs class IX implementation and adjustment actions for command. 3. Collaborates with Logistics Readiness Center (LRC), Supply Support Activity for verification of Post Goods Receipt and validate order status with Item Manager and/or Release Agent.

Education: Ph.D or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position.

Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the second year (total graduate semester hours minus 36) by 18. Add the two percentages.
