As a Fiscal Operations Specialist, you will be serve as the Accounts Payable Team Lead. Duties include oversight and monitoring of WAPA-wide vendor and IPAC payment processing serving as technical expert and supervising employees performing a variety of WAPA Financial Operations duties.
This is not a remote position. The selectee will be required to be physically present at the Lakewood, CO duty location.

Qualifications
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: A qualified candidate's online application and resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level in the Federal service.
For the GS-11: Specialized experience for this position is defined as meeting 3 of the 4 following:
Experience processing vendor payments
Experience processing Intra-agency Payments and Collections (IPACs)
Experience trouble shooting and resolving vendor payment processing issues and delays
Experience reviewing vendor payments for accuracy and completing payment certifications.
OR Successfully completed a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or at least 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.M. if related.
OR Possess a combination of education and experience that together meets the requirements for this position.
For the GS-12: Specialized experience for this position is defined as meeting all the following:
Experience monitoring the status of vendor & IPAC payment processing
Experience reviewing and interpreting rules, regulations, and accounting standards applicable to processing vendor payments
Experience in preparing or completing vendor payment policies and procedures.
Experience providing guidance to team members
Experience with Microsoft Word and Excel
