You will serve as a SECURITY SPECIALIST in the SECURITY DIRECTORATE of NAVY SYSTEMS MANAGEMENT ACTIVITY.
This position is in the excepted service and does not confer competitive status.
Duties
You will lead or participate as a security subject matter expert during construction projects and compliance inspections
You will serve as the key person for interpretation and execution of the Intelligence Community Directive (ICD), ICD 705 Technical Specifications, DoD Manual (DoDM) 5105.21 Volume 2, and DoDM 5205.07 Volume 3 policy requirements.
You will serve as the point of contact for stakeholders regarding current and future building renovations and evaluate the impact of such renovations on existing security systems.
You will assist with the organizations physical security program as required in the DoDM 5105.21 Volume 2, and DoDM 5205.07 Volume 3 policies.
You will assist with managing the construction of new and modified facilities and associated plans, developing new physical security policies and procedures, and overseeing implementation of policies and procedures.
You will coordinate with other security agencies for the development, implementation, and training of security requirements and programmatic execution associated with DoD physical security policies.

Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.
Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Managing physical security, special program security, operations security and security administration programs; 2) Providing oversight on all aspects of physical security to ensure accreditation lifecycle requirements are processed; 3) Communicating orally and in writing unique program requirements to effectively advise and guide audiences of all levels; 4) Analyzing and resolving complex security problems requiring innovative solutions associated with physical security; 5) Researching, developing and implementing new and improved security methods, policies and procedures to meet program objectives; and 6) Evaluating and processing approvals and accreditations for facilities identified in the Intelligence Community Directive (ICD) 705 in a non-traditional environment to perform critical contingency tasks.
