You will serve as a HUMAN RESOURCES SPECIALIST (LABOR&EMPLOYEE RELATIONS) in the Parris Island/Beaufort, South Carolina branch of CIVILIAN HUMAN RESOURCES OFFICE-SOUTHEAST (CHRO-SE), Marine Corps Installation East.
Duties
You will advise and assist employees, managers and supervisors on grievance procedures and appropriate options for proper resolution of conflicts or problems.
You will advise supervisors about techniques for using performance evaluation and disciplinary processes as motivational tool to improve performance.
You will provide labor relations to support to assigned organizations.
You will communicate labor relations local policies and procedures to management and staff officials.
Briefs managers and employees on employee / labor relations issues.
Requirements

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector interpreting labor and employee relations policies; advising on labor and employee relations issues; analyzing investigation case files to present findings and provide recommendation on courses of actions.

Education
You may also meet the minimum qualifications through education and/or combination of education and experience by satisfying one of the following for the GS-11:
A. Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree ORB. 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree
OR
C. LL.B. or J.D., if related
OR
D. A combination of experience and education as described above that equates to one year of experience. The percentage of the required education plus the percentage of the required experience equal one hundred percent.
