This position is located in the Division of Insurance and Research, Planning & Resource Management Branch, Publications & IT Operations Section of the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation and provides support in the areas of print and web publications.

Duties
Serves as the Division’s Webmaster and monitors and leads the implementation of corporate guidance and industry best practices for navigation, design, accessibility and responsive design. Oversees web content including the development of written materials and content for the Division’s website.
Develops and implements strategic initiatives and plans for automation, website development and IT resources (e.g., desktop and laptop computers, mobile devices, SharePoint) for the Divisions technology needs that support DIR’s mission.
Performs analyses and responds to information requests, prepares queries and designs and develops reports that accurately meet informational needs.
Communicates technical requirements, issues, and problems to both technical and non-technical personnel via verbal and written communication channels.
Leads the Divisions graphic design efforts and supports the need by creating themes and designs and guides Division staff and designers outside the division. Reviews designs and manages the design resources.
Qualifications
Qualifying experience may be obtained in the private or public sector. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g. Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic, religious spiritual; community; student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. To qualify, applicants must have completed at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the CG/GS 13 grade level or above in the Federal service. Specialized experience is defined as experience formulating, leading, managing, and implementing technology solutions to meet business needs, web development, and visual design products.
