Duties
As a BUDGET ANALYST at the GS-0560-12 some of your typical work assignments may include:
Performs complex budget formulation work involving preparation of detailed analyses of annual and/or multi-year budget estimates for JTEEP budget execution, control, analysis, and administration work.
Responsible for financial management oversight and funds execution of a budget with multiple sources and types of funding.
Develops and maintains, through the Planning Programming Budget and Execution (PPBE) system, a defensible baseline for the USTRANSCOM JTEEP Budget Program.
Assists in the development, validation, and approval of the multi-million dollar T&E, JETP, and SIF POM submission for USTRANSCOM Staff and Components including JTEEP resources and TWCF requirements.
Serves as the primary Budget Analyst for the multi-million dollar T&E budget and financial documents to support contracts with the Contract CORs and Contracting POCs to ensure program can execute to support USTRANSCOM and supported CCMD exercises.
Serves as Primary Defense Travel System (DTS) Financial Defense Travel Administrator (FDTA) for the multi-million dollar travel budget supporting both JTEEP funded travel requirements.
Acting as a Government Purchase Card Approving Official

Qualifications
You may qualify at the GS 12 , if you fulfill the following qualifications:
A. One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 grade level in the Federal service as listed below:
Familiarity with Joint Travel Regulations (JTR)
Performs financial management oversight and funds execution of a budget
Develops and maintains a defensible baseline for a Budget Program through the Planning Programming Budget and Execution (PPBE) system.
Performs budget administration and execution work involving management of divisional contracts and acquisitions for services and commodities.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
