This position is located at Bureau of Engraving and Printing,ACCOUNTABILITY AND VAULT OPERATIONS DIVISION. As a Materials Handler (Engraving/Plate Making), you will provide logistical support to the Office of Engraving and Bureau of Engraving and Printing.

Duties

As a Materials Handler (Engraving/Plate Making), you will: - Physically locate transport items of reproduction to and from production areas within the Bureau of Engraving and Printing - Compare stock numbers on security items against those on Bureau Enterprise Network (BEN) generated travelers. - Select quantities of dies and plates indicated on documents verifying plate numbers and reporting discrepancies to a supervisor. - Assemble selected items and perform a verification of stock numbers before moving the items to another section or user. - Assist with daily transportation and movement of work-in-process printing plates and related items under Office of Engraving control. ***The BEP is currently in the process of having a new facility built in Beltsville, MD and expect to move to the new facility within the next 5 years. If selected, you may be sent and/or reassigned to the new Beltsville facility. By applying to this position, you understand this potential requirement.
