You will serve as a PROGRAM MANAGER in the MINE WARFARE PROGRAM OFFICE (PMS 495) of PEO UNMANNED AND SMALL COMBATANTS.
Duties
You will serve as the Principal Assistant Program Manager (PAPM) Mine Warfare (MIW) Command and
Control (C2) and be responsible for managing all software development efforts across the MIW portfolio.
You will manage team projects and activities, set short-term and long-term priorities, and plan work to ensure successful performance that supports development, integration, fielding and production to deliver and sustain MIW C2 capability.
You will oversee the planning and execution of the portfolio’s budget.
You will coordinate with the PAPM Acquisition in the overall acquisition strategy and contract planning for MIW C2 programs.
You will assess and provide strategic direction to guide Assistant Program Managers (APMs) in the coordination and implementation of software architectures and baselines that support resolution of mission-critical problems.
You will coordinate with internal and external customers across a broad spectrum of government employees, members of the military and industry partners.
You will guide development and strategic planning for software product improvement plans and aiding in requirements definition for future MIW C2 software efforts.

- This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes.
- This position is a designated Critical Acquisition Position (CAP). You must sign a three-year tenure agreement prior to assuming the position unless a tenure waiver is approved.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NH-03 (GS-13 equivalency) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Leading the development or implementation of programmatic, technical, contractual, or lifecycle strategies to resolve operational issues for mine warfare systems, subsystems, or components.
