Duties

Serves as a multi-functional Medical Capability Developer in matters related to the integration of the branch, division and director's and staffs activities. Serves as action officer (AO) on various projects, coordinating conceptual input and resolving issues across the DOTMLPF domains. Participates in analyzing, formulating, evaluating, depicting, writing and critiquing existing or proposed medical concepts and health care techniques. Participates in the development of medical concepts. Performs in-depth independent research and analysis and critical thinking into areas where voids exist in strategic, operational, or tactical medical doctrine. As lead Action Officer (AO), serves as team leader or project manager for both military and civilians, and provides guidance and assistance to team members and database developers. Participates in Integrated Capabilities Development Teams (ICDT) and Integrated Process Action Teams (IPAT).

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Temporary Duty travel is required up to 30% of the time.
  • Incumbent must possess or obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance for duration of employment.
  • Appointment to this position is subject to a one year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR Part 315.
  • This position has a requirement to lift up to 40 lbs. in the regular performance of duties.
