This position is located in the Department of Homeland Security, U.S. Coast Guard Academy, Chaplain's office, New London, CT.
Duties
You will serve as the Coast Guard Chaplain's administrative assistant/office manager and will be responsible for providing support that is essential to the effective function of the Academy's Chaplain's Office. Being a Coast Guard civilian makes you a valuable member of the Coast Guard team.
Requirements
- Males born after 12/31/1959 must be registered for Selective Service.
- U.S. Citizenship is required.
- This position requires a National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI)
- You must be able to type at least 40 words per minute.
Qualifications
Qualifications for GS-07: At least one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-06 grade level is required.
Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular ability, skill, and knowledge to successfully perform the duties of this position and is typically in or related to this line of work. Examples include: Preparing and reviewing correspondence; skill in using office automation equipment to accomplish work; maintaining supervisor's calendar; distributing mail; greeting visitors; arranging meetings; creating and maintaining suspense files, and making travel arrangements.
