About the Position: Serves as a Facility Operations Specialist assisting in the plans and managing of a facility management program for the Army Medical Center of Excellence, located at Fort Sam Houston, Texas.

Duties

Manage the Real Property Program. Use a wide variety of reference materials and manuals. Evaluate information and data for the purpose of making recommendations. Maintain effective relationships with all levels of management.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes managing a maintenance program for office or apartment building complexes, hospitals, recreation facilities, military, or other special-purpose installations, including planning maintenance activities, and developing preventive maintenance programs; executing short term plans for facilities projects; assisting in initiating project improvement processes; estimating funding requirements for facilities projects; or utilizing automated tools to generate work requests for facilities projects and programs. Issuing weapon systems, working on weapon systems providing repairs, and work orders. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-07). OR Education: Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree with a major study in engineering, industrial arts, property management, or business administration. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the first year (total graduate semester hours minus 18) by 18. Add the two percentages.
