About the Position: This position is located in San Antonio, TX working as a Facility Operations Specialist for the Defense Health Agency.
Salary negotiation may be available for those candidates who are new to Federal service.
Duties
Serve as the primary DHA Subject Matter Expert for assigned Medical Treatment Facility organizations under the Facilities Operations Branch.
Provide guidance and assistance in developing and implementing facility project planning and operations and maintenance activities.
Responsible for monitoring project management of assigned work within the framework of Project Management Business Process, inter-agency obligations, laws, regulations, policies and broad theoretical and practical knowledge of engineering methods.
In addition to work performed in the office, the incumbent regularly visits MTF sites, involving prolonged standing, walking, and some activity on rough and uneven surfaces.
Requirements
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid state motor vehicle operator’s license.
- Incumbent must possess an American Society for Healthcare Engineering (ASHE) Certified Healthcare Facility Manager (CHFM) or Certified Healthcare Constructor (CHC) certification.
- This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment. A background investigation and credit check are required.
- This position may be expected to travel up to 50% of the time.
- Occasional work during evenings, nights, and weekends may be required.
