About the Position: This position is located at Fort Jackson, Richland, South Carolina. Moncrief Army Health Clinic is located on Fort Jackson, South Carolina and is part of the 82 square mile military installation located adjacent to the state capital of Columbia.

Duties

Unload conveyances, signs for items, prepares tally sheet and makes proper notations as to receipts, overages, or shortages. Transfer stock to proper location and establish new location as warranted. Notifies supervisor of any obvious deterioration or need for relocating items. Select stock in the quantities indicated by the document, report location discrepancies and damage to supervisor. Complete trip tickets and preventive maintenance service records.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • This position requires the completion of a pre-employment Physical Examination and an annual examination thereafter to ensure the continued, required level of physical health and ability or fitness to perform the duties of the position.
  • Valid state driver’s license required.
  • This position is subject to a pre-employment drug screening, and random testing thereafter, to include testing based on reasonable suspicion and testing due to direct involvement with an on-duty accident.
  • Employee may be required to use safety equipment such as: safety shoes, gloves, aprons, safety glasses, goggles, hearing protectors, or any other safety equipment that will preclude personal injury.
  • REQUIRED TRAINING: HAZCOM. Hazardous Communications. All workers right to know hazards associated with HM/HW they handle.

Minimum Qualifications (Screen Out Element): Ability to do the work of a(n) Motor Vehicle Operator ~ without more than normal supervision. Driver's maintenance in accordance with established regulations; loading and unloading of passengers and cargo; complete vehicle utilization records and driver's accident report when necessary. - Failure to meet this Screen out Element will result in an ineligible rating. Moderate physical effort is utilized in reaching, bending, turning, or moving hands, arms, feet, and legs to operate hand and foot controls of loaded vehicles. Moderate physical effort is required in lifting, loading and unloading cargo. Receives assistance from other warehouseman, laborers, and equipment operators when moving items over 25 pounds. Required to work inside warehouse, in bin rooms, in open storage areas, and on receiving or shipping docks. May be exposed to cold, drafty, damp or hot weather while loading and unloading vehicle. Subject to possible injury from falling stock. Subject to bruises and broken bones as a result of accidents while driving vehicles.
