This position is located in the Government Accountability Office. As a Supervisory Information Technology Specialist (SYSANALYSIS) you will be responsible for serving as a lead to migrate CCOE's applications from in-house data center to Cloud and modernize the existing applications and plays a key role in architecting Cloud Migration strategies for CCOE applications and upgradation and enhancements for systems/applications deploying/migrating to GAO's multi-cloud.
Duties
As a Supervisory Information Technology Specialist (SYSANALYSIS), MS-2210-1 your typical work assignments may include the following:
Oversee the development and maintenance support for enterprise applications and app registrations running at GAO Network, vendor sites, Federal Shared Service Provider, and/or Cloud Service Providers such as AWS, Azure.
Serve as a lead to migrate CCOE's applications from in-house data center to Cloud and modernize the existing applications.
Serve as a Project Manager overseeing the various phases of the system development life cycle for applications within the organization following CCOE's cloud initiatives on Development Methodology based on Agile principles.
Manage assigned resources (i.e., financial, people, contractor, space, equipment) effectively and within the level of responsibility assigned to the position. Additionally, the employee provides first level supervision to a staff of professional/technical employees.
Identify and shape the goals of the organization. Oversees and directs work to achieve results and improve customer service.
Lead staff, setting an example by applying professional expertise and facilitating, implementing, and adapting to change.
Collaborate with stakeholders in GAO program offices to identify strategic objectives, goals, and long-range plans for the evolution of mission critical CCOE initiatives and develops conceptual system designs, security plans and privacy impact assessments.
Qualifications
You may qualify at the Information Technology Specialist (SYSANALYSIS), MS-I Band Level, if you fulfill the following qualification requirement:
You must have IT-related experience demonstrating each of the four competencies listed below:

AND
Specialized Experience: Applicants must have 1 year (52 weeks) of specialized experience at the next lower band or level equivalent to the PT-II/GS-12 in the Federal Service, or comparable private/public sector experience which has equipped the applicant with the skills and knowledge to successfully perform the duties of the position.
Specialized experience is defined as experience migrating applications from in-house data center to cloud and modernizing the existing applications using Amazon Web Services (AWS) and AZURE; and managing IT Teams in a cloud environment; and utilizing tools, applications and data to manage and monitor the AZURE and AWS environment; and overseeing IT projects on system design and applications in a cloud environment.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
