You will serve as a LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST in the of NAVY SYSTEMS MANAGEMENT ACTIVITY.
This position is in the excepted service and does not confer competitive status.
Duties
You will assist in performing studies and analyses, gather facts and defining problems, account for resources, and analyze data requirements.
Requirements

- Must be determined suitable for federal employment.

- Generally, current federal employees applying for GS jobs must serve at least one year at the next lower grade level. This requirement is called time-in-grade. Time-in-grade requirements must be met by the closing date of this announcement.

- This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area, Life Cycle Logistics Level I assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the
GS-12 or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector: 1. Experience developing detailed ILS plans, goals, objectives/milestones, and evaluation criteria for supported programs and related activities. Competence in short and long range planning guidance and implications of ILS matters. Ability to provide convincing oral and written presentations for design modifications, shifts in plans or changes to appropriations. 2. Experience providing technical expertise to resolve high priority life cycle logistics problems. Independently analyze and evaluate real-time situations, experience in providing fully researched solutions and recommendations.
3. Experience reviewing and defending requirements for funds, manpower, facilities, equipment, transportation, training, supplies and support services.
