You will serve as a SUPERVISORY LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST of NAVY SYSTEMS MANAGEMENT ACTIVITY.
This position is in the excepted service and does not confer competitive status.
Duties
You will plan, supervise, organize and coordinate all matters relating to the acquisition and sustainment logistics activities/functions for assigned program, including the total logistics life-cycle support of assigned programs.
You will evaluate the effectiveness of the customer support group’s logistics program support and developing strategies to ensure program problems are addressed and solutions are implemented.
You will determine the best approach or solution for resolving budget storages.
You will plan for the long range staffing needs including such matters as whether to contract out work.
You will develop overall goals and objectives for assigned staff functions programs or program segments.

- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
- Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.
- You will be required to complete ethics orientation within three months of appointment and submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, within 30 days of appointment.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-14) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector1. Developing integrated logistical support (ILS) planning and supportability requirements for program documentation in support of aircraft platforms.2. Experience evaluating integrated logistical support (ILS) processes to improve execution of integrated logistics support and readiness for aircraft platforms.3. Analyzing logistics procedures to support and sustain aircraft systems products.4. Implementing a plan of action and milestones (POA and M) in support of the logistics program in support of multiple aircraft platforms.
