You will serve as a Logistics Management Specialist in the NAVAL SYSTEMS MANAGEMENT ACTIVITY.
This position is in the excepted service and does not confer competitive status.
Duties
You will be responsible for the development, revision, and up-to-date maintenance of Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) policies and procedures.
You will develop and review program mission documentation and provide authoritative recommendations and direction on logistics and maintenance issues.
You will develop and implement the support and maintenance concepts and develop Integrated Logistics Support and maintainability requirements for assigned systems.
You will provide tailored Logistics standards and associated planning to meet scheduled and/or on-demand operational commitments.
You will perform cost analysis and life cycle costing studies for assigned systems for long term budgetary planning.
You will identify requirements incident to the planning for a design of new or modified facilities during all stages of the acquisition cycle.
Requirements

- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal
- PPP applicants must currently hold the required security clearance.
- This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.

Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level GS-13 or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience includes duties related to the following: 1) Applying expert knowledge of all Integrated Logistics Support elements which include Product Support Management, Sustaining Engineering Maintenance Planning, Manpower and Personnel, Supply Support, Tech Data, Support and Test Equipment, Training and Training Support, Computer Resources Support, Design Interface, Facilities and/or Infrastructure, Packaging, Handling, Storage and Transportation; 2) Planning and leading team efforts; 2) Developing requirements, maintaining progress, and meeting acquisition decision process review requirements; 3) Establishing short and long-range logistics goals by developing resource requirements, identifying shortfalls and developing risk mitigation strategies; and 4) Preparing and delivering highly technical oral and written briefs to high-ranking officials.
