You will serve as a SUPERVISORY ELECTRICAL/ ELECTRONICS NUCLEAR INTERNAL SHOP MANAGER in the Electrical/Electronic Shop (Code 950) Production Resources Department Manager (Code 901), Producton Resources Department (Code 900) of NORFOLK NAVAL SHIPYARD.
Duties
You will perform project management.
You will be responsible for personnel management.
You will determine appropriate schedules for employees and work to be assigned.
You will review, approve, and direct work operations.
You will take necessary action to achieve cost and schedule commitments.
You will initiate or attend meetings concerning work status.
You will resolve problems in areas where interfaces exist between nuclear and non-nuclear.
You will perform all duties in accordance with nuclear procedures.
Requirements

- Must be determined suitable for federal employment.

- You will perform all duties in accordance with nuclear procedures.
- You will be required to successfully complete a pre-appointment physical examination.
- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- You will be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes continuously for the duration of the work shift.
- Work is performed in areas where potentially harmful physical and chemical agents are present (e.g. fumes, dust, heat, ionizing and non-ionizing radiation and chemicals). You will be required to participate in medical surveillance programs.
- Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
- Experience performing project management, quality control, cost control, schedule control and workflow control techniques.
- Experience applying Electrical/Electronics practices and operations to review, approve and direct work operations.
- Experience determining total resource requirements and allocations based on schedules and work sequences.
- Experience demonstrating personnel management.
- Experience resolving problems in areas where interfaces exist between nuclear and non-nuclear.
