About the Position: Serve as a Army Contracting Command (ACC) Force Protection Officer (FPO)/Specialist, responsible for Antiterrorism/Force Protection, OPSEC and Physical Security programs at Headquarters and at geographically ACC dispersed locations throughout the world.
This is a pay banded position. The NH-03 encompasses grades 12 and 13 on the General Schedule.
Duties
Responsible for development and implementation of the command wide antiterrorism/force protection (AT/FP) program.
Responsible for ACC Physical Security Program.
Responsible for ACC Operation Security Program.
Conducts comprehensive review and analysis of subordinate elements (AT/FP) plans.
Advises the G3 and/or senior leadership of security deficiencies that have the potential to affect the security posture of the command.
Reviews all items to be published for public release in coordination with the PCA Office.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Must be able to obtain/maintain a SECRET clearance.
- This is a Key Employee Position.
- May be required to travel aboard military or commercial aircraft or automobiles to temporary duty locations.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the NH-02/GS-11 grade level in the Federal service which includes: 1) Developing, implementing, integrating, and evaluating all phases of a security program to include: Antiterrorism, Information, Industrial, Physical, Personnel Security (PERSEC), Operations Security (OPSEC), and Communications Security (COMSEC); 2) Formulating implementation guidance for the Antiterrorism Program, to include, development of initial plans and contingency plans to assure organization preparedness; and 3) Conducting Level I Antiterrorism Awareness Training for agency units as required by Army Regulation.
This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (NH 2/GS-11).
