You will serve as a FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST of U S MARINE FORCES CYBERSPACE COMMAND.

Duties

You will participate in various levels of financial review and analysis activities related to a substantial segment of the agency program. You will analyze new or proposed USCYBERCOM and Marine Corps POM guidance, policy, requirements and initiatives and assess impact on command financial POM policies, processes, goals, and objectives. You will develop new or improved POM management practices for application to MARFORCYBER Comptroller. Develop new or modified budget policies, processes, performance measures, or evaluation plans. You will perform POM management studies, risk analysis, and process reviews of functional areas to identify weaknesses and potential improvements in work methods, assesses customer requirements/satisfaction and provider capabilities.

Requirements

  • Must be determined suitable for federal employment.

  • Must possess a TOP SECRET/SCI security clearance and must obtain and maintain NSA badging for NIPR/SIPR/NSANet accounts. Failure to meet any security requirements may result in the withdrawal of position offer or termination from the position.
  • Required overnight travel may be as high as 25% of the time.
  • You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
  • This position is not telework eligible.
  • This is a Drug Testing Designated Position (TDP). A pre-employment drug test is required, and the position is subject to random drug testing.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • This is a Financial Management Level II certified position per the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) 2012, Section 1599d. You must achieve this level within prescribed timelines. Certification requirements are in DoD Instruction 1300.26.
  • A Counterintelligence Polygraph is required, and a non-disclosure agreement must be signed. Failure to retain this level of security clearance and access will be grounds for reassignment, demotion, or removal from the Federal Service.

Qualifications

Applicants must have directly applicable experience that demonstrates the possession of knowledge, skills, abilities, and competencies necessary for immediate success in the position. Qualifying experience may have been acquired in any public or private sector job, but will clearly demonstrate past experience in the application of the particular competencies or knowledge, skills and abilities necessary to successfully perform the duties of the position. Such experience is typically in or directly relates to the work of the position to be filled. Qualifying experience would be demonstrated by providing recommendations on effective/efficient methods for the operation of financial programs; analyzing financial systems; formulating policies and procedures pertaining to the financial management of funds AND assist in the rendering of decisions pertaining to funds management and funds execution. This position is within the Work Category PROFESSIONAL at Work Level SENIOR, Series and Grade GG-0501-13.
