About the Position: Incumbent is a recognized technical authority on all matters related to industry capabilities, systems, technologies, and research and development (R&D).
This is a pay banded position. The NH-04 encompasses grades 14 and 15 on the General Schedule.
Duties
Monitors Defense Guidance and participates in development of related ASAE Guidance, to identify programmatic information and ensure specific acquisition planning guidance is identified and considered during program development process.
Conducts and directs special projects/studies and participates, in field visits and reviews to identify and solve problems in planning, programming, budgeting and program acquisition reviews as they relate to FMS issues.
Applies advanced knowledge of the Security Assistance mission to outline the overarching and yearly requirements for outreach efforts.
Maintains awareness of international engagement with suppliers, and conducts research and analysis utilizing a wide range of market research tools to prevent surprise LORs (Letter of Request) and help inform strategic plans and implementation.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.
- A one-year probationary period may be required.
- Temporary Duty Travel (TDY) may be required up to 15% of the time.
- This is an Army Acquisition, Logistics and Technology Workforce position. Selectee must meet position requirements for Program Management Certification within 5 years of entrance on duty.
