This position is located in the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Office of the Chief Readiness Support Officer (OCRSO).
The primary purpose of this position is to assist in managing the overall integration of DHS air and marine mission support.
Non-BU: This is a non-bargaining unit position.
Duties
As a PROGRAM ANALYST, GS-0343-14, your typical work assignments may include:
Provide leadership, direction, guidance, information and support to other DHS Headquarters staff, organizational elements, and other departmental offices on issues affecting the development, implementation, review and adaptation of the Department's air or marine programs.
Support the Aviation Program Manager, Air and Marine Integration Office and the Assets and Logistics Office by providing program management recommendations and direction on implementation, tracking, coordination, and oversight issues.
Serve as an expert analyst in the assessment and improvement of program effectiveness or improvement of complex management processes and systems.

Qualifications
Specialized Experience:
You qualify for the GS-14 grade level if you possess one year of specialized experience, equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal government, performing duties such as:
Providing guidance to organizational personnel on aviation program operations;
Analyzing identified aviation program issues to provide guidance to management on the execution of strategies to meet mission objectives; and
Implementing program plans and policies to achieve mission critical initiatives.

Time-in-grade: Current General Schedule (GS) federal employees, and those that have served in GS positions within the last 52 weeks, must have served 52 weeks at the next lower grade, or a combination of the next lower grade level and an equivalent band in the federal service by the closing of this announcement.
