This position will be assigned to the Air Force Services Center. This is a regular full-time category position with guaranteed 40 hours per week. Employees appointed to a regular category position are eligible for benefits.

Duties

The purpose of this position is to monitor, compile, consolidate and identify trends in problematic areas through daily financial data, inventory reports and cost of sales analysis and implement corrective actions within the NAF food and beverage operation worldwide. Perform a full range analysis of NAF food and beverage operation worldwide to identify trends and problem areas, coordinates and implements corrective action. Duties include monitoring daily financials, inventories, and cost of sales reports. Review and verify documents; search for and compile information and data; provide a central source of information; prepare and/or verify the validity of documents. Report prepared data to include profit and loss statements, financial statements, and miscellaneous financial reporting data. Knowledge of procurement, particularly in the area of accounting, data processing, inventory, supply, and financial management. Prepare a wide variety of recurring and nonrecurring reports and other documents. Gather and summarize information from files and documents for use of inquiries and reporting. Efficiently use resources available to develop and pro-actively identify business improvement opportunities that reduce operating costs and achieve efficiencies. Complete work is reviewed for overall soundness of approach, feasibility of recommendations, compatibility with other work, or effectiveness in meeting requirements or achieving expected results. Accomplishes assigned special projects, performs reviews and analysis to determine the impact to the food and beverage activity. Based on the findings of these reviews/ studies, determines actions required to overcome deficiencies and ensures the expeditious accomplishment of required actions and provide continuity or operations and effective support. Effectively maintain electronic files and/or hard copy files. Prepares correspondence to answer and assist in resolving issues, problems and inquiries. Uses varied functions of multiple office automation software to produce wide range of documents, formats, etc. Uses Microsoft software, to create, copy, edit, sort, retrieve and produce reports to include graphics software to provide graphs and charts for reports and presentations. Transmits and receives documents and messages electronically using a workstation that is networked or linked to other computers or workstations. Performs other duties as assigned. Qualifying Experience: Must have proficiency in the principles and practices of food and beverage operations or hospitality services. Must be highly organized and a self-starter. Must analyze financial problems and apply sound judgment in assessing the practical implications of alternative solutions to develop financial, cash management and internal controls policies and procedures with no supervision. Required to communicate effectively both orally and in writing with personnel at all levels with varying degrees. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSA's): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas: Familiarity with food and beverage inventory management and point of sale systems is highly desirable. Use of specific software programs is necessary to accomplish job that include Microsoft Office Suite.
