You will serve as a PROGRAM SUPPORT SPECIALIST in the DEPUTY ASSISTANT SECRETARY OF THE NAVY FOR MILIITARY MANPOWER AND PERSONNEL (DASN (MMP)) Office of ASSTSECNAV M-RA WASHINGTON DC.

Duties

You will respond to routine and non-technical requests for information, such as status of reports, suspense dates, and similar information readily available from files. You will analyze correspondence or policy issuances to ensure completeness, correct format, grammar, spelling, and consistency with Departmental regulations, procedures, and preferences. You will prepare a variety of formatted documents (correspondence, reports, and information documents) in final form, including exhibits, tables spreadsheets, organizational charts, and statistical reports. You will manage scheduling and the calendars of the DASN (MMP) senior executives and greet visitors. You will plan and conduct analytical studies of organizational elements and work to identify problems and approve resource utilization, administrative support, and management effectiveness. You will provide advice and counsel on a range of administrative and operational management support issues, policies, programs, objectives. You will provide coordination, direction and policy interpretation, and guidance for the monitoring and evaluation of organization budget estimates. You will serve as the advisor and liaison on human resources matters by coordinating organizational needs with human resources office requirements. You will provide Purchase Card and onboarding support for the office.

Requirements

  • This position is eligible for part time, substantial or ad-hoc telework at the discretion of management.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experiences in planning and coordinating administrative services (ex. Supply purchasing, human resource management, travel, property, records management, etc), maintaining scheduling and calendars, and preparing a variety of formatted documents (ex. Correspondence, reports, spreadsheets, statistical reports, etc). GS-11,

Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree

or

3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree

or

LL.M., if related
